Hydrogen Power Task Force
Special Act 22-8 established the Hydrogen Task Force to examine hydrogen-fueled energy within Connecticut’s economy and infrastructure. The task force submitted its final report to the Connecticut Legislature by January 15, 2023.
A public hearing was held on February 23, 2023, before the Energy & Technology Committee. Public Act 23-156, “An Act Implementing Recommendations of the Hydrogen Task Force,” implemented the task force’s recommendations with bipartisan support, including a nation-leading provision that mandates that hydrogen projects secure community benefit agreements.
